About Me

I believe that at our core, we humans are all pretty much alike; we’re trying to get by in life, protect ourselves from fear and hurt, and find connection. It’s not always an easy process! I’m convinced nevertheless that it can be a joyful one, and that life gives us endless opportunities to practice this. When we create something that connects with our core experiences, then we have ART. I like to explore that part of our human condition that is motivated to find solutions, transcend our challenges, seek beauty! There are stresses and difficulties and obstacles all around us, and if in the face of all that (i.e., without shutting it out) we can manage to maintain a lightness, a sense of humor, a neutrality, then we’ve accomplished something. And from this mindset comes my work.
